Moyes wants ‘exciting’ La Real

David Moyes has spoken of his desire to see a ‘quick and exciting’ Real Sociedad take to the field against Elche on Friday.

The former Manchester United manager last weekend began life in the Basque country with a goalless draw against Deportivo La Coruna, and he is hoping for an improved display from his new charges against Los Franjiverdes this time around.

"Of course, when I was hired by Real, everyone knew I came to improve our fortunes and move us up the table," the Coach issued to reporters.

"I'm really looking forward to being at Anoeta, with the fans and a good atmosphere around the place, and I hope the fans support the team.

"I'm looking forward to the match, promoting La Real and the club itself and ending with a good result.

"I'll keep in mind [that we have three straight games], but most important is the game tomorrow, and then we'll think about them.

"We must be aware that there are so many games, but I have good players at my disposal, even if we have some casualties like Inigo Martinez, Mikel Gonzalez and Zaldua.

"I was disappointed that our [set-piece] delivery was scarce [against Deportivo] and we really have to improve in that aspect.

"We must concentrate on fitting together the pieces of the puzzle, but fortunately we are improving.

"Training has been good and I won't change what we've been doing. The players are very interested in the job at hand and want to improve.

"I want a quick, exciting Real in this game, delivered, and I'm convinced that I can give my all to the club.

"Can I get a win in my first home game? I don't know, it's a challenge, but I want a Real which excites, although I especially want the three points.

"I've seen some videos [of Elche] that my scouts have showed me. They've been in La Liga for two seasons now and we have to be careful.

"Most importantly, however, we must focus on our own team, and I hope we play well against Elche."
