Inter planning Moya raid

Miguel Angel Moya’s impressive form for Atletico Madrid has attracted interest from some of Europe’s top teams, particularly Serie A giants Inter.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims the Italians are casting admiring glances at the 30-year-old goalkeeper, who only joined Los Rojiblancos in the summer from Getafe for a reported €3m.

The San Siro outfit are continuing contract negotiations with current first-choice stopper Samir Handanovic, who is understood to have received offers from other clubs, but see Moya as the ideal replacement should the Slovenian choose to leave.

It is believed that Inter would be willing to pay up to €10m for the Majorca-born player and it is a figure that could well tempt the Atleti hierarchy, although boss Diego Simeone would be in no mood to see him depart the Vicente Calderon.

The Argentine has made Moya his No 1 this season at the expense of Jan Oblak, who may be loaned out during the January transfer window.
