Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu believes Athletic Bilbao will give 100 per cent in their Champions League clash on Tuesday.
The Basques cannot qualify for the next stage of the competition, having picked up just one point from four group games, but still have an outside chance of finishing third and claiming a Europa League spot.
At a Press conference on the eve of the game, Lucescu told reporters he was convinced the La Liga outfit will play “for the honour of the club” in Lviv.
“It doesn't matter that Athletic's qualification chances have gone as every team in the Champions League has motivation as they fight for their name and the honour of the club,” he asserted.
“I'm sure they will give 100 per cent to obtain a positive result and win some more points in the group.
“The fact they have brought all of their best players here in between important League games [against Espanyol and Getafe] supports my view.”
