Marcelino believes it is ‘very important’ that Villarreal claim three points from their home game against Getafe.
The majority of Villarreal’s points this season have come at home and it is with that in mind that the Coach has put great importance on the fixture.
“We have five points away from home and so we approach this game knowing that victory is very important,” he said, AS reports.
The Yellow Submarine go into the match with a number of injuries, including a doubt over Bruno Soriano, who returned from Spain duty carrying a knock.
“If you have to play three games a week and have six injuries, everything is complicated,” Marcelino continued.
“We are also without some very important players. We will try to have them all back as soon as possible.
“I don’t consider Bruno’s injury a problem because it’s not a major one and he wants to play at all costs.
“We have to be careful doing immediate assessments following the game. He might play against Getafe. We might have many more internationals.”
