Bergara: Moyes has clear ideas

Markel Bergara believes David Moyes’ arrival at Real Sociedad has injected some fresh ideas and intensity into the club.

The former Manchester United boss has held a first open training session for the fans and midfielder says he is enjoying the experience so far.

“At the moment they are harder sessions and there is a lot of focus, intensity, getting stuck in and pressurising opponents,” Bergara told assembled media.

“They’ve been short but intense and we’ve enjoyed them. I get the feeling the new Coach is looking forward to the challenge and has come in with some very clear ideas.

“He knows what he wants from us and has already got to know us. He wants us to be on top of our rivals and that’s what we’ve been working towards.”

The 28-year-old, who has been with the Txuri-urdin his entire career apart from loan spells with Eibar and Vecindario, says the language barrier has so far proved not to be a problem.

“We understand the basic theories and for other things we have the services of a translator, but it hasn’t proved to be a barrier,” said Bergara.

La Real travel to Riazor to take on Deportivo la Coruna on Saturday night and Bergara is looking for a bright start under the Scotsman.

“It’s a game we’ll be going out to win but at the same time we must be aware that there are no easy games in La Liga.

“It would be a great start for the new Coach to get a win. It would also relax us and that would be positive.”
