Murillo looking past Granada

Jeison Murillo has admitted he is hoping to impress during his time at Granada in an effort to win a move to a bigger club.

The Colombian defender spoke to the club’s official website, with his comments on life in Andalusia published by AS.

“It’s straightforward [in Granada]. I get up, eat fried eggs with sausage, or if I have breakfast at the club, toast with ham or cheese,” he revealed.

“Then I train and go home. I live on a golf course. Do I play? No, I’m afraid of getting hit on the foot!

“It’s very quiet there and there’s room to walk my dog. That’s why I chose there.

“The challenge now is to be relaxed with Granada and stay in the Primera. I think we can do that because there is no team with companionship like we have.”

Murillo was asked what he hopes lies in the future and said that while he doesn’t want to diminish El Grana, his sights are set higher.

“I want to continue to grow as a person and a player to open the doors to a bigger club,” he said.

“I don’t want to detract from Granada and what the club are doing for me, but you should never settle for what you have but have the ambition for much more.

“I want to thank everyone for their support. The fans have always encouraged me. They’ve encouraged me a lot.

“I ask that the fans continue to believe in the team and the results aren’t coming now but there’s a long way to go. If the fans are with us we will achieve our goal.”
