Isco: Best is yet to come

Isco has promised Spain and Real Madrid that there is more to come following his performance in La Roja's 3-0 victory over Belarus on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder is currently rediscovering his best form, having recently broken into Los Blancos' first team and marked his first international start over the weekend with a wonder strike, which proved to be the catalyst in Spain’s Euro 2016 qualifying victory.

“I feel good, I'm taking advantage of the opportunities and I don't want to think that this is my best spell. Lately, it seems that people like me!” he told reporters.

“[For my goal], I kicked the ball and it turned into a very good shot that was used to open the scoring, although it could have also gone through the roof.

“[My future] is not up to me. I try to work and earn it every day. That's up to the Coaches. They are the best in the world I try to make it difficult for the Coaches.

“The improvement comes from feeling well physically. I'm fast and fine, and it shows on the field. When a player doesn't play, he either stagnates or does what I did – works hard to regain his place.”
