Granero ‘has confidence’ in Moyes

Esteban Granero has confidence in David Moyes to be a success as Real Sociedad Coach and doesn’t think the language barrier is a problem.

Moyes was this week confirmed as Jagoba Arrasate’s replacement and Granero is sure the former Everton and Manchester United manager will thrive.

“We were looking forward to the arrival of the new Coach and we have confidence in his abilities and experience,” AS reports Granero saying of the squad.

“We are confident he will take us forward. It represents a new cycle for La Real and hopefully a successful one.

“Moyes is a very experienced Coach and I remember playing against Everton was very difficult and they had clear ideas, and that speaks well of the Coach.

“Hopefully he has as long and as successful a career in Spain as he did in England.

“We’re lucky it’s a quiet week with no game. So far he has overseen training and then from Monday he gets behind the wheel.

“From what I can tell he has a lot of ambition and that’s good for us. We share the same ambition to take a step forward and I convey the conviction of the players, which we think is the best way to help La Real go forward.

“I’m convinced Moyes knows La Liga as well as anyone. You only have to know his career to know he is crazy for football and my experience is that La Liga is followed a lot in England.

“I don’t think the language will be a problem. It’s something that can be solved and I’m sure he will soon learn the language. I don’t think it will be a big problem.”
