Barragan wants Valencia stay

Valencia defender Antonio Barragan has indicated he wants to stay at Mestalla and sign a contract extension.

Barragan’s current agreement with Los Che expires in June 2015 and he would become a free agent in January if he is unable to agree terms.

However, the 27-year-old right-back is already involved in negotiations and claims his first option would be to remain with the club, despite reported interest from Sevilla.

“My first choice is Valencia and I’m very happy here, so we are trying to reach an agreement that suits both parties.

“Nobody from Sevilla has been in contact with me or with my representatives,” he told Marca.
