Nolito: I can adapt to La Roja

Celta Vigo winger Nolito feels he can adapt to La Roja’s style of playing after his call-up to boss Vicente del Bosque’s squad.

The 28-year-old is one of the new faces that have been drafted in for Saturday’ Euro 2016 qualifier with Belarus and the friendly with Germany three days later, and he told reporters after training at Las Rozas that he was ready for the challenge.

“I believe I can adapt. At the end of the day it is playing football with a ball and I am available to the Coach for anything,” declared the former Barcelona and Benfica player.

“I’ve now got the opportunity to be with the national team and I hope I can stay in the squad, so I’ll try to do my best if I get some minutes on the pitch.

“Saturday’s game with Belarus is going to be special as it is being played in Huelva, which is near to my family.”

Nolito also revealed that on arrival he was jokingly told by the other players that he was required to “sing a song after dinner”, although he confessed that he did not have to do it.
