Emery: No Sevilla predictions

Unai Emery doesn’t want to make any predictions about Sevilla’s season even though his team can reach 25 points by beating Levante.

A win over Les Granotes would take Sevilla level with Barcelona and only two points behind leaders Real Madrid after 11 games.

But Emery warned at his pre-match Press conference that there’s no guarantee Los Rojiblancos will beat the visitors and experience tells him not to count any chickens.

“I’ve never thought about 25 points and I don’t now, because playing is complicated,” he argued, AS reports.

“Sometimes we make predictions but experience tells me it’s not good so I won’t ignore that.

“This is once more the most important game of the year. Playing at home, it’s time to show our enthusiasm and Sevillismo.”

Emery added that there is plenty to be concerned about despite Levante struggling near the foot of the table, particularly now Lucas Alcaraz is in the opposing dugout.

“We need to find ways around their very good defence and their good defensive work,” he continued.

“It will be a game in which we need players to contribute from the beginning or partway through the game.

“Alcaraz has a great capacity and he has shown that with complicated teams. Levante have qualities, on the counter-attack, they have speed and they’re very strong in defence.”
