Djukic wants to show ‘new Cordoba’

Miroslav Djkuic wants Cordoba to show a new version of themselves when Deportivo La Coruna visit Arcangel tonight.

Los Califas are bottom of the Primera with Djukic appointed last month in place of Albert Ferrer, but the former Valencia Coach has yet to experience a victory with the Andalusians.

But Djukic isn’t deterred and believes his side can give a better account of themselves against Depor.

“We’re playing at home and we want to do things right. We want to show the new face of Cordoba,” he said, Marca reports.

“We are prepared for everything. If they want to control the ball we will press them. We don’t look much at the opponent. We have our own style, our own identity.

“It’s not a decisive game but it is important, against a direct rival in a similar situation to ours.

“Deportivo have high quality and great players. They have won against Valencia and should be treated with respect.”
