Paco Jemez isn’t expecting an easy ride for Rayo Vallecano when Eibar visit Vallecas on Monday evening.
The newly-promoted Basques are only a point behind Rayo after nine rounds and their 10th-round fixture will be a feisty one, Jemez said at his pre-match Press conference.
“Eibar are a very hard, very intense team who will give nothing away,” he said, AS reports.
“They have their weapons and have to be taken very seriously. They’re having a fantastic season.
“Everybody in the team works, runs, fights and attacks. They’re capable of scoring and their intensity is important to the game.
“We have to at least match that because otherwise we’re at a disadvantage. If we believe we’re better than they are, it will go badly for us.
“All teams that come into the Primera need a few rounds to get up to speed but Eibar have been from the beginning. They’ve shown they can be competitive and have adapted to a new competition.”
