Gracia ‘proud’ of Malaga form

Javi Gracia doesn’t want Malaga to get ahead of themselves but admits he is proud of the team’s form after beating Real Sociedad.

Malaga recorded a fourth straight win as a Juanmi goal beat La Real, potentially condemning Sociedad Coach Jagoba Arrasate to the exit, and moving to seventh place in the League table.

“We’ll see if we can get to Europe. It was important to win this game because of how difficult it was,” Gracia said, AS reports.

“We’ve succeeded and we maintain our good run but for now we only think about the next game against Eibar, nothing more.

“It wasn’t a brilliant game but we fought and we came out fine. It required a lot of us and we had to fight a lot to defend the lead.

“I’m very proud of how this team is right now and proud of the work of all the players.

“We’re pleased to win 1-0 although it’s true we could have scored more than one goal later in the game.

“But I’m very happy with the result and how we were able to manage the final minutes.”
