Francisco warns off Levante nerves

Francisco doesn’t want Almeria to be anxious when they play Levante but warned against being sucked into a relegation battle.

Almeria have lost their last two and travel to the bottom-of-the-table side with a four-point cushion, a gap Francisco doesn’t want to see reduced to one.

“We’ve had two consecutive defeats and want to change the dynamics,” he told a pre-match Press conference, AS reports.

“We are facing an opponent who will fight to keep us with them.

“It’s not a decisive game, certainly not, and so we have to face it with calmness and focus.

“We can’t play with anxiety because there is no reason to do so. We have to think about doing the right things and be aware that the opponent is going to ask a lot of us and we have to be ready for it.”

Francisco added that even though Levante are bottom of the League, they don’t need to be overly concerned.

“It’s true they haven’t won at home but their situation isn’t alarming,” he continued.

“They’ve got five points from nine games and there is a long way to go. What’s clear is it will be a very difficult and complicated game for Almeria.

“They’ve changed Coaches and want to give satisfaction to their supporters, and they also have a team of very experienced players.”
