Emery warning for Sevilla

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has warned his players of underestimating Sabadell in their Copa del Rey first leg clash on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old is aware the Cup is a competition in which Los Rojiblancos have a good recent history, having lifted the trophy in 2007 and 2010, but after last year’s defeat to lowly Racing Santander he knows it is potentially full of pitfalls.

“The only thing on our minds now is Sabadell and Sevilla have done well in the Cup recently. However, we’ve also had one of the biggest disappointments since I’ve been here when we last to Racing,” he told a Press conference.

“We must have the utmost respect for our rivals because we know they are capable of beating us if we lower our guard, so we need to go out with the idea of doing something important in this competition.

“I’m very clear in that I want a victory over Sabadell. I want to use my whole squad and this game is one where other players can earn a place in the side.”
