Andoni Zubizarreta believes midfielder Andres Iniesta commands respect from his peers because of his approachability.
The Barcelona director of football was on hand to collect Iniesta’s prize for Best Attacking Midfielder during the 2013-14 season at the Spanish Football League’s awards ceremony on Monday night.
“We all know about Andres’ quality and he has an element of approachability that makes him respected by his peers.
“Iniesta enjoys the whole world of football” the former goalkeeper told the audience.
Iniesta beat current midfield partner Ivan Rakitic to the honour as well as Atletico Madrid youngster Koke.
