Zidane three-month ban to be confirmed

Zinidine Zidane will be banned from the bench for three months for not possessing the correct qualifications to coach Real Madrid Castilla.

Marca reports that the chairman of the Competition Committee, Francesco Rubio, has agreed with the initial punishment given to the former Madrid and France playmaker and Santiago Sanchez, his assistant at RM Castilla.

Alberto Perez Calderon was the initial investigator in charge of the case and recommended earlier in October that Zidane and Sanchez both be banned for three months.

The decision is expected to be made public on Wednesday but has been communicated to Madrid and the club will have 10 working days to appeal.

Zidane has been suspended for not having the full qualification to take a role as a Coach and Sanchez for using his coaching qualifications to shield Zidane.
