Sergio believes there isn’t anything more Espanyol could have done to try and turn the 0-0 draw with Deportivo La Coruna into a victory.
Deportivo goalkeeper Fabricio Agosto was one reason Sergio put forward as to why the game ended without his side on the score sheet, while the Coach admitted the team’s finishing was sub-par too.
“The goalkeeper is partly to blame but we have created a lot of opportunities and it’s a little more our failure that the goal didn’t come,” he said, AS reports.
“I’m very happy and very sad at the same time. The players can hold their heads high. We did everything possible to try and win.”
