Javi Gracia doesn’t want Malaga to bask in the glow of their big win over Rayo Vallecano for too long, calling on the players to get ready to go again.
Malaga were three goals clear by half-time and added a fourth shortly after the interval as they inflicted a heavy defeat on the Vallecas side.
But Gracia doesn’t want anyone thinking the win came easy or that every game can be that way.
“You always want more. The moment you start thinking you’ve achieved something is the first step to losing,” he said, AS reports.
“Today’s game was the result of a very good week of work, in addition to the support of the fans.
“We’re all happy with the work we’ve done. But we have to realise this can vary greatly from day to day. Let’s enjoy the victory and move on.
“I think it was a good game. We’ve got 15 points, which is a good figure for this point in the season, but we don’t look beyond the next game.”
