Granada happy to end losing run

Granada Coach Joaquin Caparros was pleased to draw with Eibar as it means the team ends their losing streak.

Allan Nyom opened the scoring for Granada with Eneko Boveda equalising for the hosts before half-time, the score staying at 1-1 until the final whistle, Granada ending a run of four losses in a row.

“We had to break our losing streak at a ground where the utmost attention is required to compete for 90 minutes,” Caparros said, Marca reports.

“Any oversight can cost you the game and we had to take the utmost care to end the losing streak.

“We’re happy because we competed until the end, did what we asked and what we have lacked in previous games.

“The game was hard fought, intense and very open. With Eibar at their ground, unless you play at your level you don’t get anything.

“We started well but Eibar pressed from the start of the second half. I’m happy because we break the losing streak. This is an ongoing fight.”
