Line-ups: Madrid-Barcelona

Luis Suarez starts for Barcelona against Real Madrid alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar while Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line for Los Blancos.

Suarez today completes a four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup and has been pitched straight in by Luis Enrique.

The Uruguay international has only trained and played friendlies for club and country since June but he replaces Pedro Rodriguez in the XI to play at Santiago Bernabeu.

Xavi Hernandez also plays in a midfield three with Andes Iniesta and Sergio Busquets – which means no place for Ivan Rakitic.

Enrique alters his defence too, going with Jordi Alba at left-back and Javier Mascherano partnering Gerard Pique in the middle. Dani Alves continues at right-back with Claudio Bravo, yet to concede a goal this season, taking the gloves.

Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed his team for the match earlier in the week but then appeared to backtrack as he hinted at a surprise.

But Madrid are as expected with the two changes Ancelotti confirmed – Sergio Ramos for Raphael Varane and Dani Carvajal for Alvaro Arbeloa – from the side that beat Liverpool.

Gareth Bale is missing with a buttock injury so Madrid continue with a 4-4-2 formation including Isco in midfield and Ronaldo partnering Karim Benzema in attack.
