Cristiano Ronaldo has said his ambition is to maintain the level of form he has shown for Real Madrid.
Ronaldo was speaking as part of a promotion for Nike with his comments reported by AS.
Asked about how he will prepare for Saturday’s game against Barcelona, the Portugal forward insisted he approaches each game the same.
“It will be a very special game and I hope people enjoy it,” Ronaldo said.
“I prepare the same for every game. I want to play the same in every game so I train the same way for Barcelona or any other team.”
Looking longer-term than the first Clasico of the season, Ronaldo revealed he doesn’t have a specific goal in mind – just to be the best he can be.
“I think my greatest ambition is to continue at the highest level as possible,” he revealed.
“Each season is a different challenge so this year isn’t any different and I want to do the same, with the same goal. I always want to be the best.”
