Nolito & Morata on Spain radar

Spain assistant coach Toni Grande has confirmed Celta Vigo forward Nolito and Juventus striker Alvaro Morata are on La Roja’s radar.

Grande was interviewed by Radio Marca on a number of subjects and was asked about potential call-ups for the next round of international fixtures.

“Nolito is tremendous. The next game is in Vigo and we are planning to call him,” AS reports Grande saying.

“Callejon is also giving us problems. He deserves to come.

“Morata is playing more minutes at Juventus and he’s closing the door on Fernando Llorente. He can do the same with the national team.”

The subject of goalkeepers was raised as well, with Grande agreeing Spain have a number of good options.

“Our three are Iker Casillas, David De Gea and Kiko Casilla, but we could call Roberto or Miguel Angel Moya,” he noted.

“We’re really happy with our three but we analyse Roberto and Moya.

“Casillas’ errors are too magnified. It’s very unfair. When it happened in Slovakia, which seeing it again and it doesn’t seem such a mistake, the first I thing I thought of wasn’t the team but was him.

“Casillas will leave the team when he wants to, not when we say so.”
