Ernesto Valverde is looking for the positives after Athletic Bilbao lost to Porto in the Champions League.
Los Leones were beaten 2-1 and are in a precarious position in Group H, particularly after Shakhtar Donetsk hammered BATE Borisov 7-0 away from home.
Valverde believes Athletic were much improved in the second half and argued they come away from Portugal feeling better than they did when they were beaten by the same score by BATE.
“Porto ended the first half strong and scored at a difficult time,” he said, AS reports.
“We were better in the second, got level and were looking for the winner, but then they scored the second.
“We lost the match by the same score as last time but it leaves a better taste. But we have three games left and we have to make the most of our options.”
