Ivan Rakitic believes Barcelona had a handle on the Champions League game with Ajax despite the late Dutch goal.
Barca were 2-0 up in the final minutes before Ajax pulled a goal back and threatened a grandstand finish, only for Sandro Ramirez to wrap up the win.
“That’s football. Our mistake was punished with a goal but I think we were always in control,” Rakitic said, AS reports.
“It’s an important victory. We’ve played some good football lately. We want to enjoy this win, rest, and then start preparing for the next game, an important one we will try to win, like all the games.”
Barca next meet Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, travelling to the capital on Saturday.
