Milan chief: Khedira earns too much

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has ruled out a move to the San Siro for Real Madrid star Sami Khedira because of his high wages.

The Serie A giants have been linked with a move for the German international in January, although that appears to have been dismissed by Galliani following his comments as reported by tuttomercatoweb.com.

“Khedira is a player who would be great for Milan, but there is one problem. It is that he earns too much.

“He would be great for us but we don’t know if he’ll renew his contract at Real Madrid. Even if he doesn’t he would expect big wages,” said Galliani.

The Italians are not involved in European competition this term and their ability to meet the 27-year-old’s financial demands remains to be seen, given the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with the player.
