Javier Hernandez was pleased with Real Madrid’s performance in the 5-0 win over Levante but believes the win is the important thing.
The Mexico international, on loan from Manchester United, was on the score sheet as he filled in for the ill Karim Benzema.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice, with James Rodriguez and Isco also on target, and after the match, Hernandez reviewed the display.
“We played a rounded game, but not perfect of course,” he said, Marca reports.
“There are things that we can work on. We’re happy to have three points.
“We know in football that anything can happen. There will be games we win by the minimum and others that cost more to win.
“But I’ve always said that whether we win by a landslide or by one goal, the important thing is to win because we want to win the League.
“It’s always better to work through the week on the back of a win, rather than a defeat or a draw.”
Hernandez was asked about Luka Modric, who was substituted in the second half, Hernandez explaining why the midfielder may have been frustrated.
“I think he was mad when he went off because he took a knock just before,” he noted.
“We all want to play here and participate as much as possible. That’s normal.
“Here we always do what the Coach asks of us and to have a good attitude.
“We have a good balance between attack and defence and we do it in the same way.
“We’re pleased with the Levante result and from the morning we have to think about Wednesday’s game [against Liverpool].”
