Caparros “annoyed” at Granada loss

Granada boss Joaquin Caparros declared himself “annoyed” at the 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano on Friday night and how it came about.

The Andalusians were undone by a Manucho goal two minutes into stoppage time and Caparros believes the lateness of it is something his players must try to correct.

“I’m annoyed because this happened against Elche and Malaga, where goals near the end of the game stopped us from picking up anything,” he told a Press conference.

“The match [with Rayo] was so equal that any careless mistake could have cost us the game and that’s what happened.

“Just before their goal Rochina could have scored for us and at that time Rayo were happy to have taken a point, but we failed to compete in what was the last move of the match.

“However, I’m happy with the effort my players put in. Nonetheless, we live by results and we have to fix this type of situation.

“In La Liga you need to be consistent and the important thing is to take at least something, because a point is a point,” he lamented.
