Jese targeting November return

Real Madrid forward Jese could return from his serious knee injury next month, having been out of action since March.

Jese tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the Champions League game against Schalke, seven months ago on Friday.

He was initially ruled out for six months but an infection delayed his recovery and necessitated more surgery.

AS reports Jese has been recovering using some unusual techniques, but with the blessing of the club.

In an effort to regain his stamina, Jese has been training with a freediver, Miguel Lozano, and is able to dive underwater for three minutes without breathing.

Madrid are also using technology that treated Kaka, Xabi Alonso and Rafael Nadal, an antigravity machine that eases the strain on the knee when running.
