‘Granada a good team & a good Coach’

Paco Jemez isn’t expecting an easy game for Rayo Vallecano when they travel to play Granada on Friday night.

The sides are level on eight points despite Granada having only five goals to their name in their seven La Liga games.

Jemez told a Press conference he isn’t swayed by the hosts’ lack of goals and is prepared for a hard night regardless.

“They are a good team with a good Coach who knows his stuff,” Jemez said, according to AS.

“Joaquin Caparros’ teams are always difficult. They’re strong in defence, don’t make mistakes and know how to counter or any other move to cause harm.

“That, coupled with the features of their players, in many positions, indicates a team that will do better than last season.

“Caparros is an expert on getting the most from a squad.”

Jemez added that he supports the decision of Lass to leave international duty with Guinea and return to Spain over Ebola fears.

However, Lass will not feature against Granada, Jemez confirming that while the forward did hurt his shoulder in training, the decision not to include him in the squad was a technical one.
