Rodrigo: Alcacer told me good things

Rodrigo Moreno is excited to be part of the Spain set-up, the national team having had a good review from Valencia teammate Paco Alcacer.

Alcacer made his first appearance for La Roja in the last round of games and is again included this time, with Rodrigo making his step into the seniors.

“I’m here to enjoy the football and the experience and give the best of myself,” he said upon his arrival at Ciudad de Futbol, AS reports.

“Alcacer told me they are good people here, humble people. It will be one more experience.

“I don’t think I’ve been waiting long [for a call-up]. We all know how hard it is to get here.

“Spain is one of the best teams in the world, if not the best, and it costs a lot.”

Rodrigo is one of a number of Valencia players to receive international recognition following the side’s fine start to the season.

“We’re growing,” Rodrigo said of his teammates.

“Even Gaya is with the Under-21s. We’ve started La Liga well and we’re all here to add something.

“We started well and maintaining it is the objective but this is an important start.”
