Stoichkov no fan of Barca rotations

Hristo Stoichkov has criticised Luis Enrique’s rotation policy at Barcelona following the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Barca striker analysed the 3-2 defeat for Esports Cope and questioned why changes had been made for such an important game.

“I’ve enjoyed watching Barca but I suffered. It’s not what they normally do in La Liga, so they’ve got to know why they lost and why they conceded goals. I don’t like these rotations and I’m not a fan of changing a winning team.

“There’s no need to criticise just for the sake of it if you lose a football match, but you must examine why you lost,” said the Bulgarian, who represented the Blaugrana in two spells between 1990 and 1998.

Stoichkov also took time to take part in the debate over the goalkeeping position at the club after Claudio Bravo was rested in favour of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

“I’ve always believed Bravo was the undisputed first choice. The second goal the German let in was a huge mistake,” he pronounced.
