Villarreal have been dealt a blow with the news that Mateo Musacchio is expected to be out for up to a month.
The central defender picked up a hamstring injury in the 2-0 weekend defeat to Real Madrid at El Madrigal and has also been forced to withdraw from the Argentina squad for their friendly with Brazil in China on October 11.
The 24-year-old is the only member of Marcelino’s back line who has been ever-present so far this season, giving the Villarreal boss an unwanted headache as he joins fellow defenders Jaume Costa and Bojan Jokic on the sidelines.
