Ibra: Barca would’ve won CL but…

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted that Pep Guardiola was the reason he didn’t win the Champions League while a Barcelona player.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker had some caustic words for his former club, blaming them for not being able to win the tournament.

Ibrahimovic has been ruled out of the game against Barcelona tomorrow due to injury, but in an interview with Canal + France, he suggested indirectly that others – perhaps the then-coach – were at fault.

“We had the strongest team in the world,” said the Swede, according to AS.

“If we didn't win the Champions League, it was because of certain people's bad decisions.”

In spite of the dig, Ibrahimovic had some positive words about his experience with the team as a whole.

“Playing against Barca is a special moment for me. I enjoyed my season very much in Barcelona and I learnt a lot, both in and out of the pitch,” he revealed.

“It will be a good experience for us, a great confrontation, and I think we are ready.”
