Zubi: Barca delighted with Enrique

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta declared himself happy with the start made as Coach by Luis Enrique.

Zubizarreta spoke about the team this morning before flying out to Paris, where La Blaugrana will be confronting Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League group stage.

“He makes use of his resources, measuring them out by game and by League,” Zubizarreta said.

“That's his responsibility and we are delighted with how he is doing.”

Zubizarreta also had positive remarks about Neymar, echoing the comments of Enrique.

“The Coach had no complaints about Neymar,” he noted.

“I value the strikers not only in terms of the number of goals they score, but also for the work they do on the pitch.”

Asked about the upcoming game against PSG, Zubi showed respect for Barca’s rivals, and offered no comment on the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“It's a high-level encounter, to keep developing. They are one of the great teams of Europe,” he added.

“The absence of Ibrahimovic is a matter for their Coach, but I think they have a strong squad.”

Zubizarreta concluded by defending Douglas’ performance against Malaga on his debut, insisting the right-back was ‘at the same level as the others.’
