Nuno welcomes Valencia praise

Valencia Coach Nuno Santo isn’t concerned by the praise lavished upon his side following their strong start to the season.

Los Che have 13 points from a possible 15 prior to Sunday’s game against Real Sociedad and at a Press conference to preview the trip to Anoeta, Nuno was asked about a potential negative side effect of the kind words directed towards his team.

“I don’t think praise weakens players. I see no problem in the team being praised,” he replied, AS reports.

“It’s a testament to the effort we’ve shown in every game. People recognise that Valencia players give everything. It’s not a distraction.

“We should be proud when we see the League table but we have an obligation to keep working every day.

“Euphoria is for the fans. For us its concentration and hard work. It’s a competitive League with great teams.

“Nothing has changed in relation to our objectives. Nothing. And nothing will change. The players don’t need me to say it. They know.”
