Jemez happy with Rayo progress

Paco Jemez sees Rayo Vallecano making good progress as a team after beating Levante 2-0 at Ciutat de Valencia.

Leo Baptistao scored both goals to give the Madrid club the points, and after the match Jemez revealed how encouraged he is by the development of the team.

“We played a great game at a ground that is very difficult to play at,” he said, according to AS.

“We like to play and the conditions made it difficult and therefore the win has even more value.

“We’re beginning to look like the football team I know we can be.

“We’re very calm about our situation and there is a lot of football still to play. Our last two victories mean we sit nicely and we can see this is the right way.

“I don’t mind that Leo is scoring our goals, as long as he’s scoring. In our last five games we’ve scored two goals in each of them and that’s important for a small team.”
