Gracia wary of Getafe

Malaga Coach Javi Gracia doesn’t expect an easy game against struggling Getafe, warning his players not to take the Madrid club for granted.

Los Boquerones go into the game on the back of a goalless draw with Barcelona but Gracia told his pre-match Press conference that the game against La Blaugrana means little for the trip to the capital.

“It will be different than Barcelona,” Marca reports Gracia insisting.

“Getafe have a lot of good individual players and a lot of technical quality. We have to be disciplined and not let their players get comfortable. We’ll suffer if they are.

“We try to play a certain way but obviously when we’re faced with a certain opponent, we have to adapt.

“The team is doing a good job on the defensive and we follow that basic idea, but we have to be more successful in the penalty area.”

Gracia also gave his thoughts on the incident involving Weligton and Lionel Messi, when the former appeared to grab the latter by the throat.

“Weligton was motivated to do that by something. He has 100% credibility,” Gracia added.
