Cosmin Contra believes Getafe are already approaching a defining point of the season in Sunday’s game against Malaga.
The Madrid club have struggled at the start of the campaign, picking up only three points in five games, with Contra telling a pre-match Press conference that the situation is dire.
“We are concerned. We’ve lost four out of five. Malaga is a final and everyone has to be focused,” he said, Marca reports.
“We need a win and a good game from which people can take confidence. We’ve analysed the last match, against Espanyol, and have realised that we made three mistakes and conceded two goals.
“The mistakes we make in a game can do a lot of damage. We gave them three shots and they scored two goals. We had five and didn’t score.
“The fear of losing a game is huge but we will always try, and we need to get the ball in our opponents’ area.
“We know they come to play us in a good moment. They’re a competitive team and play good football but we can destabilise their game and beat them.”
