‘Granada were comfortable until…’

Joaquin Caparros was almost at a loss for words after seeing his Granada side concede six against Barcelona.

A Neymar hat-trick, a Lionel Messi brace and one from Ivan Rakitic did the damage, with Caparros pointing the finger at individual mistakes as the cause of the routing.

Hector Yuste gave the ball away in a dangerous position for the first goal and Caparros told reporters that was the crucial moment, as heads dropped thereafter.

“The second goal was a consequence of the first. We wanted to get a good result and we have options,” the Coach lamented.

“But against Barca you can’t hand over the gifts we did. The first and the second goal. I have nothing to say. That was the score.

“You need luck against Barca. We had one chance and then another. We were feeling good until it was 1-0. We were comfortable.”
