Paco Jemez wants Rayo Vallecano to repeat the performance that beat Athletic Bilbao when facing Levante on Saturday.
Rayo dispatched the Champions League side in midweek and at his pre-match Press conference, Jemez called for his squad to maintain the momentum.
“That’s the attitude we want because with that you can accomplish many things,” AS quotes Jemez as saying.
“Competing with intensity is the difference between having a chance of winning and losing a game. That’s the basis of what we achieve on the pitch.”
The win over Athletic was Rayo’s first of the season and Jemez acknowledged he was under pressure, adding he had no problem with that.
“If you fail to start the season with good results then the pressure is automatic,” he continued.
“There is a lot of the competition ahead but the Athletic result should reassure us. All games are important but the next one more so.
“Not only because its next but because to win would lift us up further and make our situation calmer, so we could look up, not down.”
