Fran Escriba has said Elche will take the game to Celta Vigo when the sides meet tonight.
Escriba added at his pre-match Press conference that he sees this season’s Celta as similar to that of last year, when the team was under the command of Luis Enrique.
Eduardo Berizzo replaced Barcelona-bound Enrique and Escriba believes the Argentine has maintained much of what worked for his predecessor.
“They have kept a lot of the style imposed by Enrique,” he continued, AS reports.
“They play good football, they’re dangerous and have good individuals.
“We will try to commit, to keep the ball and not just wait to play on the break.”
Escriba also explained why he named Manu Herrera in goal against Real Madrid and not Tyton, the Polish goalkeeper on loan from PSV Eindhoven.
“Tyton has done things right but he’s not performing to the level expected, and I see Herrera as better,” Escriba revealed, confirming Herrera would play against Celta.
