Iker: Congratulations Keylor…

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has used his personal website to offer congratulations to Keylor Navas following his debut for Los Blancos.

Navas replaced Casillas in the 5-1 win over Elche in midweek and AS report the captain spoke privately with Navas following the match, but wanted to make his feelings public.

“I want to share my happiness for my colleague Keylor for his debut at the Bernabeu. Congratulations!” Casillas wrote.

AS add that Casillas could return to the starting XI for Saturday’s game against Villarreal, with future rotations depending on the fitness of each goalkeeper.

Casillas also praised the team as a whole after the 5-1 win in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals, having claimed a hat-trick in the previous game against Deportivo La Coruna.

“It was a great victory at home to Elche. After a series of good games we wanted to keep the run going and put on a great show for the Bernabeu, and it was,” Casillas continued.

“The team was superb, both in defence and attack, and I would like to make a special mention of Cristiano.

“Although we’re accustomed to these figures for goals every season, it’s not easy to score four in one game.

“Now we have to continue. The next game is at El Madrigal against a great team in Villarreal.

“It will be difficult but we are confident in our chances going forward. Hala Madrid!”
