Enrique not looking for excuses

Luis Enrique wants solutions rather than excuses after Barcelona were held to a 0-0 draw by Malaga.

La Blaugrana failed to get a shot on target in the 90 minutes as they were frustrated by the hosts, with Enrique saying post-match that he remains positive about his side.

“There is a lot of work left to do. We’re on the right line,” he said, according to Marca.

“We’ve known what it’s like to suffer. It’s about finding solutions, not excuses.

“We’ll keep our self-criticism inside the locker room. We do so when we win so I imagine we will when we don’t.

“It’s a game that has cost us but it’s clearly a successful one for our rivals.”

Enrique was also asked specifically about two players, the debuting Douglas and Lionel Messi, who had one of his quieter games.

“That Messi wasn’t involved as much is to the credit of Malaga,” he admitted.

“It’s clear that the more he’s involved, the more the risk [to the opposition].

“Douglas? He was at the same level as his teammates.”
