Caparros: Levante our biggest test

Granada boss Joaquin Caparros considers the clash against Levante on Wednesday to be his team’s biggest test to date.

The Andalusians have made an unbeaten start to the season, winning two and drawing two from the opening four fixtures, while Levante have registered just one point and are yet to score a goal.

Even so, former Levante Coach Caparros told a Press conference he believes Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men will prove a tough nut to crack at Los Carmenes.

“Levante have had some tough fixtures to start the season with but they are a team that will start to move up the table.

“This is because of the commitment they show right down from the President to all the employees, so I’m expecting opponents who will come to Granada very focused,” explained Caparros.

“This match will be the most difficult of those we’ve faced so far because I know their squad and it will be difficult. When they all pull together and four or five of their players clench their fists then you have to watch out for them.

“We will also have to roll up our sleeves if we want to obtain a good result.”

Caparros reflected on his time spent in charge at Levante last season and says his time at the Ciutat de Valencia was one of the happiest of his career.

“I had a fantastic year and grew as a Coach, so it was a shame that I left and how it happened.

“Nobody can imagine how I feel about Levante. I am a member and will continue to be, because it’s a club that gave me so much and I’m grateful to everyone there,” he explained.
