Real Sociedad striker Imanol Agirretxe says he is optimistic about his team’s chances against Sevilla on Wednesday night.
The San Sebastian outfit suffered a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Almeria at the weekend, but the 27-year-old has warned there is no time for Jagoba Arrasates’ men to feel sorry for themselves with the Sevilla clash just around the corner.
“Against Almeria we played very well for a long time but things happened in that match that weren’t normal,” he told reporters.
“We did not deserve to be behind on the scoreboard and to get no reward from the game was equally tough.
“Now we are up against a Sevilla that has a very strong squad and will be difficult to beat, so it’s obvious we must play a complete game if we are to come away with something positive.
“However, this team is capable of that and we must travel there full of belief,” he maintained.
