CENAFE denounces Zidane

The Spanish National Football Coaching Centre (CENAFE) has denounced Zinedine Zidane for not possessing the necessary coaching qualifications.

The Frenchman, who was Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at Real Madrid last season, is currently in charge of the club’s second string Real Madrid Castilla, an appointment announced by Los Blancos this summer.

It is the first time Zidane has been Head Coach at any club, although on Real Madrid’s official website he appears as assistant boss to the second team, with youth Coach Santiago Sanchez named first.

According to CENAFE, this is because Zidane does not have a licence to coach in Segunda B.

It is claimed the former Madrid player has breached articles 154 and 155 of the Spanish Football Federation’s general regulations, which require a National Diploma Level Three to coach at this level.
