Espanyol Coach Sergio believes his side have been on the receiving end of some harsh officiating after the 2-2 draw with Malaga.
Duda equalised for Malaga in the 93rd minute of the match, converting a free-kick, and Sergio told his post-match Press conference that as soon as the decision was made, he knew his side wasn’t going to take three points.
“The man in black is always against us. We’ll see if we can change this dynamic,” Marca reports Sergio as saying.
“There’s no life in that foul. It happens to us all the time. We need to say something so we know what referees are thinking.
“I feared the worst. Duda is a specialist and he’s always calm, even close to the 90 minutes.”
Sergio was though pleased with his side’s performance after an 88th minute goal appeared to have delivered a much-needed three points.
“The team is back together but we’ve had a blow. Nevertheless, we continue to grow. Now everyone has taken a step forward,” he added.
