Hernandez hoping for more minutes

Javier Hernandez wants more playing time at Real Madrid after his two-goal cameo in the 8-2 routing of Deportivo La Coruna.

Hernandez signed on loan from Manchester United just as Madrid recorded two straight League defeats, a crisis for a club such as Los Blancos, but the Mexico international insisted he saw no signs of stress.

“I arrived to score goals for this club. I have to thank my teammates because thanks to God it’s been a great start,” he said, according to AS.

“I hope to have more minutes to give more good performances.

“I’ve only just arrived, been here two weeks, so there was [no crisis] to talk about for me. The dressing room is the same no matter the results.

“This group operates with humility and doesn’t think it’s the best when they win or the worst when they lose.

“In football, sometimes you lose but this club is always looking to win. We’re already thinking about Tuesday’s match.”

It was put to Chicharito that the win at Riazor was a perfect game for Madrid, but he countered that there’s no such thing, although perfection is the aim.

“We’ve always got to improve. Perfection doesn’t exist but we are looking for it,” Hernandez continued.

“That’s something I’ve learned. We’re not going to be perfect, you have to keep working, and even though we’ve scored a lot of goals we must always improve.

“I always try to be fair and humble and this is a great start for me. It gives me confidence and I want to be as good as I can be.”
